As a new Steemian, I would like to see SBD remain high so that I can rack up Steem Power to grow with the platform. It takes quite a bit of effort to create original content for the platform and it is a struggle to justify the time and effort expended. The 'promise' of the potential rise in the value of Steem keeps some of us vested. It would make sense for the platform to eventually be valued primarily on a single token.

Not an easy issue to overcome. As you've rightfully said - there are 2 or more sides to this.
