De donde es el dulce de lechoza? - Where is the lechoza candy?

Es un dulce tradicional de Venezuela. Es una conserva de lechosa o papaya que se elabora tradicionalmente por la época decembrina ya que en cualquier rincón venezolano se celebra la llegada del niño Dios y un sinfín de tradiciones se despliegan en todo el territorio nacional. Este famoso dulce es originado en el estado táchira, dichoso postre es muy codiciado por nosotros los venezolanos, la cual es cocinado con frecuencia y se conserva en frascos de vidrio sus ingredientes son los siguientes:

*It is a traditional sweet of Venezuela. It is a preserves of papaya or papaya that is traditionally made by the holiday season since in every Venezuelan corner the arrival of the child God is celebrated and a myriad of traditions unfold throughout the national territory. This famous sweet is originated in the state táchira, happy dessert is very coveted by us Venezuelans, which is cooked frequently and preserved in glass jars its ingredients are the following:

*1 Lechosa de dos kilos y medio. - * 1 Milk of two and a half kilos.
*200 ml De agua. - * 200 ml Of water.
*1/2 Cucharada de bicarbonato. - * 1/2 Tablespoon baking.
*1/3 De azúcar. - * 1/3 Sugar.
*15 Clavos de especias. - * 15 Spice cloves.

Preparación - Preparation:

Pelar y cortar la lechosa en lonjas de 1/2 centímetro de espesor. Puedes tenderla al sol de la mañana durante unas horas antes de cocinarla u podrias dejarla 1 día.

*Peel and cut the milky into slices of 1/2 centimeter thick. You can lay it out in the morning sun for a few hours before cooking it or you could leave it for 1 day.

Colocar en una cacerola y cocinar tapado durante 15 minutos, Luego agregamos el azúcar,los clavos de especias y dejamos tapado a fuego bajo por 1 hora. (Remover de vez en cuando.)

*Place in a saucepan and cook covered for 15 minutes, then add the sugar, the cloves of spices and leave covered over low heat for 1 hour. (Stir occasionally.)

Luego de haber estado listo el torna un poco marrón y cristalino a la vez.
