RE: Bronze Age Classic Comic Book - Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew! from 1983

in #comics7 years ago

I've been meaning to look into this series ever since Grant Morrison (for whatever reason) made him a big part of his Multiversity event. I thought it was something he pulled out of his ass, but as usual, it's something from the deep history of DC.

From what I see here it seems like real fun, goofy satire of the stories being made at the time. Real interesting comic to spotlight! I love these! Keep the weird ones coming!

Wow, I definitely missed that or just don't remember it, Morrison doing a run with him

Too many comics to read, I have been enjoying Morrison's Happy! television version, so good. I wanted to go back and read that run, now I'm curious about this updated Captain Carrot.

It's not a Captain Carrot run per-say, but he does have a big involvement in Multiversity, which was an 8 issue mini-series Morrison did throughout 2014-2015 I believe. It's definitely worth checking out, as is the case with anything Morrison touches...especially if it involves exploring DC's multiverse.

HAPPY! is an amazing television show. The comic is 4 issues long, and has way less meat on it then the series. It's still very good, but the show really elevated it to the next level.
