Back in 2014 when we did our Amazing Spider-Man #4 J Scott Campbell Exclusive Variants, we got really lucky. We landed on a 1st Appearance. Cindy Moon had technically appeared in the newly released ASM #1 but her alter-ego, Silk premiered in #4.
We got insanely lucky as we had commissioned an exclusive variant or a set of 3 exclusive variants and picked issue 4. I also believe we were the first shop to utilize 3 variants. Regardless, one of the things that help still make our Conquest Exclusives still very valuable was the lack of competition. Nowadays there are a zillion variants for most issues. Not the case with this one.
You had your basic cover which is currently a 15-20 dollar book.
Then you had the Ramos 1:10 variant. Cool cover featuring Silk in the shadows. This is so pretty cool cover and currently is gonna set ya back in the 30-60 range depending on condition.
Then you had our delicious covers. We had a different idea and as soon as Campbell showed us this image we fell in love with it. There is the color, sketch, and negative. When we initially sold them they were around 20 a pop, with the set being 55 I think. They are currently bringing in around 65-115 a piece depending on which version you are contemplating and conditions. Not a bad return I might add. Expect these to moon if Silk appears in a movie eventually!!! 🤞

I hope our next variant we do is on an issue where there is no other real competition. Imagine landing on a Thanos 13 or something like that....
