It isn't exaggerating to say I would eat around 10 oranges a day around Christmas most years. Fortunately, my current consumption of plums is closer to 4 per day.
LOL! Addictive fruit! Good thing the tropics can produce oranges for you all year, I imagine that before international shipping there were very little oranges in Winter!
Not many that I know of- we grow some apples around here, and there are plenty of wild berries, but nothing large-scale. A little ways from here though, in the Okanagan, they grow tons of grapes, as well as other things like blueberries

Very good, but terrifying, point D: I don't know how I'd live without that many oranges every December!

That's when Mandarin oranges are in season. It's sort of a Christmas tradition for us to get them :P
