Colourful Photography Contest – Golden Week Festivities, Takamatsu, Japan

Here is my current entry in @juliank’s Colourful Photography Contest.

Location: Takamatsu, Japan

Camera used: FujiPix

Commentary: This was taken in the first week of May, during the Golden Week holidays. We had cycled through the northeastern portion of the island of Shikoku, into the mountains, then down the other side of the mountains. After continuing along the coast, and ended up in Takamatsu, where we came upon this festive site in the central square.

The audience was focused on the traditional Japanese dance being performed on the open-air stage. The colourful decorative banners made the entire scene even more interesting and beautiful.

Hard thing to get right, colourful photography. You've pulled it off well here because the colours have good separation and they are moving well in the frame.

Oh, and another few things ... I'm a teacher, expat, traveler, jack of all trades, and my steemit name – maJes, thank you ... – is an anagram of my real name, James, thank you. And I live in Thailand (Chiang Mai)

A clone! I used to live in Thailand, BKK. I've just moved to Hanoi for a few years though. Missing Thai food alot!

And of course, a bit of luck re time and place was involved. Thanks for the comment.
