These photos were taken the day before the latest eruption of Kilauea Volcanic Eruption on The Big Island of Hawaii.
Rainbow Falls (Waiānuenue) is a waterfall located on The Big Island of Hawaii in the outskirts of Hilo.
In Hawaiian language, Waiānuenue means "rainbow water."
The falls are a part of the Hawai'i State Parks and there is no fee to see the falls. The fall is 80 feet tall and almost 100 feet diameter.
The falls flows over a natural lava cave which was to the mythological home to Hina, an ancient Hawaiian goddess.
The name Rainbow Falls was derived its name from the fact that rainbows can be seen in the mist thrown up by the waterfall on sunny mornings around 10 AM.
The gorge is blanketed dense, lush tropical rainforest. The pool is bordered by beautiful Wild Ginger and Monstera.

AT&T has activated its text-to-donate line. To make a donation, text REDCROSS to 90999 — that will send a $10 donation to the American Red Cross and its recovery efforts, which will then appear on the donor’s monthly bill. Donations may also be made directly to the American Red Cross Hawaii Chapter through its website or by calling (808) 739-8109.
On Monday, Kolten Wong, the Cardinal's second baseman, set up a GoFundMepage with a goal to raise $200,000 for Hawaii Island residents affected by Kilauea's recent eruptions. His page has already raised $50,413.

Thank you! Also thanks for your support
such a beautiful waterfall and area,
Still watching the damage there and wishing everyone the best of luck
Most have already evacuated. Another crack opened up today, so far just gases coming out. The main concern is the crater that is getting close to sea level. If that happens it will spew out steem and bolders and if the lava keep building up in the area that is cracking it could get bad. Lots of people homeless but there are lots of funds set-up and Trump has approved disaster relief. So far they are still allowing people that have homes still standing to retrieve their belongs and the humane society is helping round up animals and keeping them and feeding them for the owners. A go fund me has been set up for donations for the animal shelter. Main thing is no one has been injured or died. Lots of homes burnt.. Lots of vog to contend with too but the trade winds have picked up so that eases up the vog situations a bit. Mahalo for you kind words.
