Love the rainbow looking thing at the corner, remind me of some kinda of spirit energy.... almost like a soul....

Well spotted... I was kind of wishing I knew how to use a photo editor to enhance that and make it the focal point... but alas alack ... I not know how. Thanks for responding.

This may be over enhanced but thought Id give it a try!

Neat .... is that something I can do with GIMP?

I used Photoscape X, I can show you how to do it on Saturday :)

A good shot for the midday. The rainbow in the mountains especially adds harmony to the photo

Thank you .... it was difficult to not get washed out colors...hence the low ISO and rapid shutter speed.

Yes, the rainbow will not wait for the evening rays. You have to adapt as fast as you can )))

Ok fair enough that's better than mine. Cheers mike

Fantastic landscape in minimal style! Up and resteemed!

Great shot. I LOVE my Canon SX700. Never used the HS60. That's my goto camera for in the pocket and zoom.

I wanted to play with the rainbow too in photoshop

Wow, that is NICE !! How the heck do you do that? Can I do that using GIMP?

That's gorgeous! I like the minimalism. I bet that was nice being up there. But I hope you had some suncreen! ; )

Was hot and thirsty ..... and the car broke down while on the way for lunch and a cold beer :(

And here we all think it was so pleasant in that photo. I hope you got your lunch and cold beer eventually -- and got the car running again, too!

Thanks, I did indeed...it was all downhill into Paarl so we glided to a shopping Mall with a steak house... called the tow truck and someone to fetch us ..and then had a couple of draughts and a nice steak. It is a full company car so does not hurt my pocket... and they give me another one to use while it gets repaired... so was just inconvenience.

That turned out well on all accounts! And a good photo to go with the good story, too. : )

I want to go back there again soon while there are clouds and mist around, and the dams have a little bit more water. Hopefully there will be some good photo opportunities.

That would make for some great images! And you would sure enjoy the moisture, I think!
