This shot was taken a few years ago.
It took forever to get the moon and the tree perfectly aligned to where it looked like the moon was sitting in the tree on the tips of the branches. I did get the shot, but a few minutes later, I noticed that the sky had darkened to the most amazing deep dark blue color. I had to take one more shot. This is probably one of my favorite Moon shots and I got it purely by chance of staying where I was at the moment.

This is gorgeous! It can be hard to get a good picture at night and I love how you positioned the moon!
