📷 ColorChallenge - Thursday Green

in #colorchallenge6 years ago (edited)

Dear Steemians,

I have new pictures exclusively for the color challenge. This time I want to show you five pictures and informations about it. I hope you enjoy it!

This is my entry for #colorchallenge Thursday Green. #colorchallenge is a contest initiated by @kalemandra.

Today I present you these pictures of my Dinner (Filled wine leaves). It is a unique dish! This is fine cutted beef seasoned with Onions, egg, milk, breadcrumbs and herbs (Oregano, garlic and parsley and rosemary), then wrapped in grape leaves. The whole thing is fried in the pan with oil or can also be grilled. Before it is grilled, it is recommended to coat the filled leaves with oil. Subsequently it is served with greek zaziki and vegetables like oven potatoes (The potatoes can also be grilled) and they taste very good if you spice them season with caraway.

On the second picture is a zaziki with garlic and one without together with the meal. Unfortunately, I could not trace the origin of this dish exactly, but it seems to be a Turkish court.

Here is a freshly harvested zuchini from the garden. It will give a lot of food. I weighed it and the weight is over 1800 grams! I have already written a post with more informations about this plant and the healthy benefits. You can check it out here:

Finally, I have this two pictures for you. That's a thyme plant (Nepetoideae). The thyme is a genus of flowering plants within the family of the lip bloom plants. It is a very well-known spice or can also be used also as a medicinal herb. It smells very spicy. Thyme is up to 30 cm tall and flowers from May to October. It is located in central and southern Europe.

All thyme preferably grow in full sun, warm locations on nutrient poor, moderately dry to dry soils. Thyme can help with ailments like asthma, immunodeficiency, indigestion, cystitis and much more.
