Hello fellow steemians,
Please enjoy this impressive Baroque Chateau, the national cultural landmark which is part of the Lednice-Valtice Complex and is known as the capital city of wine. The Chateau Valtice is the former residence of the Lichtenstein family. Situated in the center of a traditional wine region, the chateau was built in stages by thirteen princes and in the 18th century the residence, with its furnishings, collections and rich inventory competed with the Imperial court in Vienna itself. This certainly is one of my most favorite places in the South Moravian region of the Czech Republic and should definitely be on the list of places to visit if you are serious about exploring the Czech Republic.

The Lednice-Valtice Complex has almost 300 km2 and since December 1996 it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is considered to be the largest composite landscape in Europe and possibly even in the world. Therefore you shall not miss it once you are in the Czech Republic...or actually might be one of the reasons to go there:-))
Thank you for adding some additional information!
This region offers rich spectrum of activities - history and architecture (castles and chateaus), bike traces, spa, wine cellars, folk music and ethno traditions ... and of course beatiful landscape.
