I love taking photos of doors. There is something symbolic about doors - places where you enter and exit houses, buildings, lives.....Malta is a tiny country with plenty of colourful doors. It was a like a door paradise for me. I have so many photos of Maltese doors that I couldn't help sharing at least one with all the steemians! 🚪♥️📷

Hi I am David and I am From Malta!!!!

I'm glad you like our country's colourful doors ;)

Is that in Mdina?

Hi, David! I loved the doors and your country! Definitely coming back one day! Yes, this door is in Mdina!💖

i often walk past that door.

What a small world! :))))

Nice doors!

According to some of the answers in this article:

The Chinese consider red to be a lucky color. Many doors are painted red before the Chinese New Year and in Feng Sui, a red door symbolizes the mouth of the home allowing chi to be drawn to the house. In America a red door was a sign of a home that was a safe stop for travelers.

If many cultures share similar regards concerning red and doors, maybe we have some deep relationship with this symbolism which provides us with comfort? Just a thought.

Quite intriguing! I'm absolutely convinced we all have a deep relationship, we are more alike than we think! :)))

I agree completely. :)

Thanks for the photo. It reminded me not only of my trip to Malta but also of many of my other holidays. My travel agent had a poster on her wall composed of photos of doors in Malta. So I always saw this when travelling to Europe, Africa and the Far East.

Thank you! I've done a similar collage with maltese doors and soon I'll post it here.
