If you have read a couple of posts written by me, than you might feel like you know me a little bit. I am trying to be quite transparent in my articles, simply because general knowledge is something you can find everywhere on the net. If you stop and read one of my articles, my guess is that you don't really care about average and general knowledge that you can find elsewhere, but you might actually be interested in a topic and my take on that given topic.
But,if you have read some of my articles, then you might know that I am a big fan of sweets and of diet Coke. I know, not the healthiest compbination. Luckily, I don't eat and drink too much of it, but somehow still, I consider this be a kind of crutch in my life. What do I mean?
Coke = happiness!
Do you know, I am a victim of the ads. Somehow, Coke has managed to make me think that their black drink is somehow connected to my feeling of happiness. In order to have a good time, I need that black (cold) drink in my glass. Isn't that strange?
However, it is somehow true, and to me, that glass of cold black drink needs to be accompanied by some chocolate or a chocolate biscuit for the happiness to be complete!
Now to be honest, it is perfectly fine to enjoy these things... but if they are needed for happiness to be complete, then it is a stupid and ugly crutch!
So, now I am trying to get rid of the crutch...
I am not going to stop drinking diet Coke, nor to eat chocolate and biscuits... but I will work a bit in order for this no longer to be the happiness crunch in my life. There are so many things to be happy about and to rejoice in, and these are absolutely not needed for life to be perfect and joy to be complete!
As a result, I will absolutely reduce the amount I drink and eat, and just be happy about my surroundings and what is going on... without those crutches!
Nah... what do you think about this? Am I stupid? Do you understand what I mean? I would love to hear your thoughts!
Yes you're totally stupid! I'm joking of course 😄 I think everyone has his/her own rituals. I see no harm in being happy when you drink coke and eat biscuits but, yes, it's unhealthy if your happiness is complete only if you do so. Sometimes it's not easy to reduce the amount of coke in your diet, especially if you drink it daily. If I may suggest, you should stop buying coke and drink it only when you eat out (of course it makes sense only if you don't eat out daily).Having coke in your fridge would be a constant thought in the back of your head and it could be stressful to constantly fight with it.
I know, that is actually a great piece of advice :) There is such a balance in this that is hard to find, because there is nothing wrong in feeling great and having those joy moments in your every day life. BUt, it feels like you really see it the way I see it... awesome to read your comment and thanks for dropping by!
I'm happy it was useful and I hope you'll be able to reduce the amount of sweets and coke in your diet
