Today I was contacted by the CoinTelegraph for cross promotional cooperation, you can visit the website here:
I gladly accepted because as of late I felt coindesk is becoming politically charged. Also I was not happy with the fact they used tactics to block people who attended Consensus 2017 from broadcasting their interaction. People paid hefty fees to attend and should have a right to share their experience with their respective communities.
Yes, you might say it was in the agreement, but what is the value of a conference if the information is not public. For a news website promoting open source projects, to force people to remove what they thought was promotional material for projects they appreciate is somewhat distasteful.
I will always promote projects I strongly believe in, Steemit is such a project, until there is an overwhelming feeling the forces of censorship by a few are much stronger than those of the majority, I will call Steemit home.
I have received generous funds from my position in the top witness list for awhile, and I will use those funds to promote Steemit on social media. I had prepared campaigns, which are waiting on a resolution of the signup issues. When those issues are ironed out I will launch the campaigns.
A conference that is not public is called BILDERBERG GROUP!
Or Buildthekryptonite group ;-)
That sounds more trust- and reliable to me!
I find a lot of the so called news in this space is just regurgitation of hype, with little knowledge of whats really going on.
Scenario:
Coin X is mooning, so all of sudden its all over the news for 24 hours, the reports are hasty, have little deep knowledge and often fail to include similar coins and ask deeper questions like why coin X is mooning but not coin Y.
I find better/equivalent content on steemit most of the time.
very good. you are absolutely right. weeding out the hype is a skill you develop over time in crypto. but you can not blame the writers all the time, they follow what is hot and what is not on the exchanges. all information is valuable if you apply your common sense.
Oh sure I do my own research, and its not so much blame as just a little uninspiring
The block chain is going to need every person of integrity to stand up for what is truthful and right and not just necessarily what is profitable.
The rush for pecuniary gain without ethical guidelines is what could actually bring Big Government into the crypto realm and regulate it to death.
Resteemed. Awesome.
Congratulations to you
Great post @joseph, hope that you accomplish everything you plan. I try to promote Steemit everywhere I go because it is an excellent platform! Steem ON!
this is a nice post.
@joseph, Steemit is an eagle and she is ready for flight. With all your promoting and with all the word of mouth, the future of social media will be on a blockchain. I'm learning more every day and the future is bright for so many. Steem On Friend.
I find if I want negative news about cryptocurrency, I visit coindesk.com
I find if I want positive news about cryptocurrency I visit cointelegraph.com
It feels like coindesk prefers to put a negative slant on what's happening whenever they can.
Congratulations @joseph!
Your post was mentioned in my hit parade in the following category:
Good luck @joseph!
Steemit - it's realy sweet home))

No free speech.....all crypto proof of work located in China........yep great!
What is the deal with coindesk??
Interesting article
I love tony lane
Would be interesting to see how it progresses on social media. Is there a way to track effectiveness like sign-ups etc, or it's only the founders who have access to google analytics/ similar?
This is great! We need more options to choose from.
Does anyone think it'll be bigger than coindesk?
Interesting post
Both have been purchased by MSM
hey joseph great post the fact is that you have to stand for something or you will fall for anything. by the way i just upvoted you, im new to steemit you know how it is for noobs, would appreciate an upvote from you and keep the great content coming and thanks.
now korean people sign steemit and i think the end of this , monthly 4,000 or more. seems very good post
i think it was wise decision
Great post!! I currently use coinbase, didn't know about that at all. I am trying to get accepted into the consensus programming course this fall. I am hopeful!!
Yep.. Noticed even in their content that recently coindesk has becoming more and more political. Although what you described happened to you at Consensus 2017 is outright censorship.
Censorship when the industry the company was built was based on resistance to censorship. How ironic.
Glad you took the offer with cointelegraph. Will be waiting for whatever work you're doing being published there.
Congrats man do you!
I couldn't agree more. I sent an email to coindesk about how their treatment of @crypt0 was ridiculous and I would not be visiting their site anymore.
CoinTelegraph seems to be very resource website. Its writers seem to be well informed and have a deep understanding of the ever-evolving crypto currency game. I have already started to use them to help me understand EOS and ALT coins and how to differentiate between scams and real offering.
I have to ask: why 1853???
So cool. I am promoting steem at bitcointalk!

Everything nowadays is costly.. I prefer contelegraph for it identy.. it real cartoon!
Thanks for actively helping this community.
In that case which websido you use to get your crypto news?
Obviously other than CoinTelegraph
Over 2 years ago, my company contacted CoinDesk many times to let them know about an exciting service... https://wallofcoins.com - Wall of Coins had many novel things about it for that time. Not a peep from CoinDesk. Next thing you know, Boost VC backed a company similar to Wall of Coins and they immediately get an article on CoinDesk. I am proud of the other company, and very happy... they've helped MANY get crypto, and this is super valuable. However, I couldn't help but to notice that CoinDesk doesn't care to give people useful news. On the other hand, Coin Telegraph has done many insightful articles to the public about Wall of Coins...most of the time without Wall of Coins having any idea an article was coming! Coin Telegraph is definitely the best, most reliable, unbiased news source for crypto. Hands down!
such a great insight!
