Get discount to do remote work in this cafe

Again, I will talk about coffee shops/cafes that offer such interesting marketing ideas in my opinion, and this time related to the remote working trend. Remote working is a popular way of working nowadays, especially since the pandemic era. With the help of advanced technology, people can now work from anywhere such as at home, in public parks, in co-working spaces, and even in coffee shops/cafes. Among many place options to do remote work, homes, and cafes seem to be the most popular spots. It's quite normal now to see people around us using laptops or tablet do their work at cafes or at the living rooms in their houses. This phenomenon happened nearly anywhere in the world including Indonesia, where I'm coming from. In Indonesia, we even have several popular terms for this activity such as Work From Home (WFH), Work From Anywhere (WFA), and Work From Cafe (WFC).

Talking about the last activity term which is WFC, many cafes in my town use it as part of their marketing strategy to attract remote worker visitors. Start from offering great facilities (cozy interior, stable wi-fi, electrical plug, etc.) until eye-catching promotional flyers. But this cafe in Bintaro, South Tangerang I think offers such an interesting deal for you the remote workers. Apart from facilities and promotional flyers, they give you special discount if you remote working in there. For real ?!! Yess, the offer is called "WFC discount", this applies to anyone doing remote work, they will give you a special discount. The rate is 10%, but if you come after work / office hours after 05.00 pm the rate is higher which is 15% for food and drinks, but for this 15% discount rate you need to inform the staff if you just came back from work / office. This will not apply for anyone who are not coming back for work or remote workers (although for remote workers, you still eligible for 10%). Still, I think it's such a pretty good deal. The cafe's name is Sudut Lenggah, I discovered this place quite a while ago when I needed to edit a video. I passed by this place quite often but never had a chance to try it. Interested in the front look of their place which represents the coziness that they have, I then decided to try.

After about 1 hour of working on my laptop and having a glass of iced milk coffee, I was then checked out and surprised to see my bill where they added a 10% reduction price, and yes, that was the "WFC discount". It's quite cheered me up as I didn't expect that and I kinda feel it as a blessing on that day. The iced milk coffee I had called "Kopi Ruma Nara" cost Rp. 23.000 (about 1.46 USD)which is considered fair price and with the discount it's even better, the taste is also quite nice.

The place is not so big but quite cozy for me. It's a typical small size comfy modern minimalist cafe. Wi-fi is good and the overall ambiance is quite pleasant for work or just a simple hang out. The good thing that I like from here is they have separate spaces for smoking and nonsmoking areas, so those who need to smoke while working are surely well accommodated and those who avoid smoke can also work/hang out in peace.

All of these great features made me decide to come back again where the activity I did in the place is writing this article. This time, I came after 5.00 pm after work to get the 15% discount. Once arrived, I told the staff if I got back from work then ordered siomay (some kind of local dumpling) and iced milk coffee.

Okay, that's all about my review today. Can't wait to go back and do remote work in here again to try their other menus and for sure....getting the WFC discount.
