I took a trip to Seattle this weekend for a friend's proposal and decided to come a bit earlier to explore the city. This is my third time visiting Seattle and I do truly love the overall vibe of this city. The people of Seattle are very green conscious, nice places to eat, and of course great coffee!
A trip to Seattle without visiting Pike's place is a huge no-no. I decided to go on a Friday morning and check out the area and before I embarked on tasting the delicious clam chowder and oysters I needed my morning coffee. Through a recommendation of a friend, I visited Storyville Coffee. The coffee did not disappoint!
The shop is located on the top floor of the Corner Market building at First & Pike. It is a bit complicated to find but if you ask the locals they'll happily point you to the right direction. Looking at the coffeshop from the outside I could already tell how much I would enjoy the overall ambiance of the shop. I love the logo and the glass door entrance.
While waiting in line I noticed the mixed group of young adults, kids, and elderly. It had a truly welcoming feel to it and the staff was very nice! They gave solid recommendations and the pastries looked delicious. I decided to go with the iced coffee with the house made almond milk.
In general, most coffeeshops ice coffee is pretty standard just because of the nature of how it's made. Storyville was different. So far, the iced coffee at Storyville is in my top 5. I would highly recommend it!
