Feeling a bit loopy today!
My toxic relationship with this black liquid continues! I've once again randomly quit drinking coffee and this may finally be the time I just stop consuming it entirely... forever. I've tried to limit my consumption for a while now and have done a good job. Been drinking half-caff to keep the cravings away, but you never know when I'll lose my nerve.
Typical caffeine cycle for me:
- I drink a cup of coffee in the morning.
- I drink two cups of coffee in the morning.
- I drink four cups of coffee a day.
- I cap out around 6-7 cups before I start feeling like trash and quit.
Honestly I may have gone through this cycle around half a dozen times now and I gotta say I'm pretty over it. Caffeine doesn't even affect me like it does most people. It does not "wake me up". It does not make me work better. It's basically just a pointless addiction for me personally. Time to give it the axe.
I just now remembered that my mom absolutely hates coffee and when I was a kid I had no idea it was such a sweeping prevalent thing throughout society. Weird to think how children tend to project their life experience as though it's normal for everyone else. Life is strange like that.
I've seen stuff like this on social media as well. Random people claiming there's no way anyone likes the taste of black coffee. Pretty similar to those who say nobody likes IPA or alcoholic drinks without sugar in them. When you're addicted to the thing you're far more likely to cut out all the sugar and nonsense that made it palatable before. Thems the rules. I didn't make um.
So I've been very out of the crypto loop as of late, which can be clearly seen from my lack of posting over the last two months. Woof! I really need to get back to it. What is even going on right now? I log into twitter and every other post is some e-girl telling Grok to remove their clothes or "add a bikini"... what's up with that? Classic case of new technology being used for random sex stuff and the commodification of it. The more things change the more they stay the same I guess.

Bitcoin about to make a huge move...
Bitcoin coasted through the downtrend without even flinching and is experiencing very atypical stability and low volatility. It's the recipe that always leads to a randomly explosive move. Lot's of things look bearish and bullish at the same time. Getting squeezed between a rock and a hard place here.
On the one hand the MA(25) line keeps acting as resistance and we've been largely trading under it for 18 days straight... in fact that's been a trend since 10/10, so not great. MA(100) is about to dip under $100k in 24 hours. Probably nothing but I wouldn't be surprised to see it break downward again. The MA(200) is declining for the first time in years. In fact one could make the argument this wasn't seen since the bear market of last cycle.
On the bullish side we've hardly tested the blue support range at all and the top of it has held the price up twice. The downtrend is broken so we need a new trend. Even in bearish scenarios we could easily tap $100k again before getting railed lower. In fact a move like that would make the entire chart over the last year look like one gigantic bearish head and shoulders pattern.
I will say it would be a lot easier to long at $72k and a lot easier to short at $100k. Crazy how that's not even that big of a range considering where we are at in the cycle. I'm still a bit surprised we didn't make it to $250k considering the insane level of institutional adoption we got. But at the same time that could just mean the market has a lot more buyers of last resort as number goes down, making the support levels we have left massive places for them to accumulate. I guess it all depends on how disciplined they are after leverage gets washed away. CEOs can be degens too.
Hive gets a listing?
And the final thing I wanted to note is that Hive seems to have gotten a Hive/USDC listing on MEXC today. It's only been active for 9 daily candles. Can't remember the last time I saw a new Hive listing so it'll be nice to have a little extra liquidity in the market.
Conclusion
Hopefully in another five days I won't be thinking about ditching this needless addiction.
Starbucks is expensive I tell ya.
I've never been a fan of coffee. I like the coffee notes in dark beers, but I am not a fan of coffee in general. Best of luck to you trying to kick it! I know it can be hard!
I’m thankful that I restrain myself to a limited amount per day but typically make it myself. Buying it out is expensive as fuck, I’m all set with that unnecessary expense lol. Good luck dude, I might kick it one day too!
I laughed at my wife she tried to say we should sell all the bitcoin while we still can, it’s crashing!! I lost the moment but should’ve sent her the “first time?” Meme.
Your prior coffee intake sounds exactly like mine. I dont know if i could quit it tho!
The opportunity to quit only comes around for me once and a while.
Making the most of this one.
Good luck with it!
It's the first 2 days that are hell. Day 3 is where it starts to gets easier, at least for me. all other issues aside. lol
I love coffee. But... coffee seems to lead to migraines for me. I go through these cycles where I drink it daily and feel great, then ok, then meh, then eventually one day hits where it gives me a headache that gets worse and worse and worse until I lose 3-4 days to a migraine. Then I quit in disgust, but eventually start drinking again and the entire cycle repeats. I had been dealing with this for 20 years. Finally a few years ago I quit for good (I wrote a Hive post about it) and switched to green or black tea. SO far so good! Maybe that the siren call of that black nectar of the gods will prove too hard to ignore in the future, but at least for now, I'm in a much better place,
Good luck on your quitting!

Thanks!
For me typically two cups in the morning and another cup or maybe two when I’m out running errands. Which is less than it used to be. At least I’ve stopped coffee after 2pm.
Would be very hard to cold turkey; one of life’s little pleasures is sitting in a coffee shop with a latté and a book.
One teaspoon taste of coffee my mom gave me as a kid was enough to convince me I'd never touch it again.
Nature's insecticide?
Hell yeah I'm gonna drink that.
