Drink coffee and try local made headset for free in here

After a while of not writing any posts, I decided to bring up a topic about unique marketing ideas again applied by a cafe / coffee shop. This time is from a cafe called Kopi Mandja, a coffee shop chain with branches in several locations in Jakarta, Depok and Bandung. I've been to some of their branches, their typical place is rather tiny and minimalistic but quite cozy with good coffee at such affordable prices.

But the one that became my favorite is the one in Hang Tuah, South Jakarta. I've been here several times not only because it is the closest one to my place but there is one thing that differentiates this branch from the others and even most of coffee shops, that thing is you can try and purchase local made headset for free in here !! Wow, really ?? yess....inside they have collection of dbE, local headset brand originated from Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, more information about the brand and its products can be found on their website in www.dbe-id.com.

I've been to this branch for quite a while, starting from having coffee and chilling, working, and hanging out with friends. In some of my visits, I surely took the chance to try out their headset samples. In my personal review, dbE headset quality is quite good considering their affordable price. With a budget of Rp. 300.000 - 600.000 (around 19 - 38 USD) you can already get Gaming or DJ quality headset. Even if the quality is still not comparable with well known international brands e.g : Bose, Audio Technica or Sennheisser, still that price is quite a good deal if you favor for a medium-quality of audio. I used to purchase one and it's quite satisfying for its price I do recommend this for the audio lovers on a budget.

On this time visit, I will have coffee and try their latest headset sample as well. This time, I brought my laptop with me and would try their headset gaming and the game that I will play is the latest remake of the horror masterpiece: Silent Hill 2 : Remake. I arrived at the evening with rainy and gloomy weather which is such a perfect ambience for coffee and horror game hohoho....I ordered my regular as well as their best seller menu - "Kopi Mandja", iced milk coffee with brown sugar with a great blend of arabica simalungun will ready to accompany my thrill gaming today with dbE headset.

Once I sat in, one friendly guy who seemed to be one of the dbE
representatives greeted me nicely and told me to try out the latest headset that they had. From him, I found out that dbE is occupying office space in Kopi Mandja Hang Tuah branch, so no wonder you can try and purchase their headset in here. I believe this is a good strategy as it helps to bring awareness of the brand to the visitors as well as do direct selling. Moreover, it does add more attractive value to the coffee shops as it enables people not only to chill but they can also experience the great quality of the local headset, I am one of those people lol. Noticing that I would play game, he then recommended me to try out the wireless gaming headset called dbE HBT80 Hi Fi Bluetooth Headphone.

Alright, I plugged and connect the wireless headset to my laptop and played the game. The sound was great and it brought the spookiness of the game to a higher level and in some moments successfully shocked me with its jumpscare. I ended up trying 2 different headsets with another model which I tried is GM500.

I spent nearly 2 hours there and managed to progress the game quite far. Feeling satisfied, I told the guy my honest review of the headset and finished up my drink. I will definitely go back here again next time but not only to try the headset but hopefully buy one (this time I am not buying any as I still have one at home but aged pretty old already).
