開季試閳樂滿FUN季前嘉年華|Pre-Seson Carnival

上個星期六我去參加了一個一年一度的活動，它叫做開季試閳樂滿FUN季前嘉年華。由2008年開始由香港賽馬會舉辦，今年已經是第九年了。其實我在上一年已經想參加這個活動了，但奈何它的門票賣得很快，而且你必須親自去賽馬會的投注站才能買得到門票，待我下班去買票的時候都已經賣完了。所以今年我特意拜托了我家人一大早就替我去買門票，終於可以參加了。

Last Saturday, I joined a yearly event, the name is Pre-Seson Carnival. Which is held by The Hong Kong Jockey Club since year 2008, and this is the ninth year of the event. Actually, I would like to join this event in last year, but the ticket sold out so fast, and it has to be bought in the betting branches. Last year, when I visit the betting branches after work, all the ticket were sold out. So, this year I ask my relative to help me buying the ticket as early as possible, and that’s why I can join the carnival this year!

這個是香港賽馬會在馬賽開季前舉辦給公眾的一個活動，它開放馬埸給公眾進入，而且沒有年齡限制，就連平常因為未滿18歲而不準進入馬埸的小朋友，也可以在當天進入馬埸，去感受一下馬場的設施。先給大家秀一秀這張門票吧，它價值60塊錢港幣，包括了入埸劵、遊戲劵跟10元的餐劵。而且提供了交通安排的指示，真的挺貼心的。

This is a activity organized by The Hong Kong Jockey Club before the start of the racing season, The Jockey Club would open the racecourse to public without age limitation. That means even for kids less than 18 years old, they could still get into the racecourse on that day, in order to feel and see the facilities in the racecourse. Let me show you the ticket first, the ticket sold at 60 HKD, including the entrance ticket, game ticket and 10 HKD meal coupon. And it have the transportation arrangement on the back, I think the organizer is very thoughtful.

到了活動當天，我們就跟著指示去接駁巴士的位置。沿路的指示都很清楚，而且還有工作人員站在當眼的地方給參加者作出指示，可以看到舉辦單位是挺用心的。到了上車的地方，其實車子已經等待著，在這種大晴天的日子，這可是最好的安排了。

On the activity day, we go to the shuttle bus stop according to the instruction. Actually there are also instructions along the road you walk to the bus stop, and there are stuff standing in the main street giving instruction. And when we arrive the bus stop, the shuttle bus was already waiting for us, that is just so nice on such a sunny day.

大概坐了5分鐘，我們就到逹了這次行程的目的地：沙田馬埸了。看一看這個大藍天，實在難怪賽馬要在夏天休息停辦了，我想大概連馬也不能在這種大晴天跑一整天，何況是那些騎師呢?

It took around 5 minutes to the destination: Sha Tin Racecourse. Look at the big blue sky, it is not hard to understand that the race had to be stopped in the summer season. I bet even the horse cannot stand a full day racing, no wonder the jockey.

我是第一次進入馬埸，對，我到現在還是不會賭馬，所以別要說看賽馬了，我到那天才知道原來馬場是在用下面的那種入閳機控制出入的(重點不在美女啦)。

This is my first time to be in to the racecourse, yes, until now I still don’t know how to make a bet, so, not say to see a race. And until today I just know that there is something like the MTR gate to control the people for in and out to the racecourse.

進入馬埸後你可以看得到有很多一家大小的參加者，所以必須說香港的父母是挺勤奮的，難得的假日還是山長水遠的帶著小孩子去參加各種活動。

You can see that there are a lot of families including kids to join the event. I have to say the parents in Hong Kong is working quite hard to play with their kids, they need to spend a whole day long to such a far place to let their kids having fun.

而活動的區域大概分了室內跟室外的區域，因為實在太曬了，我決定先進入室內看一看。室內也一樣是人頭湧湧的，我這時候在想怪不得票賣得這麼快，因為根本不能有太多的票。你可以看到室內的地方其實容納不到多少人。而室內有各種的攤位遊戲跟工作坊，大家記得我們門票上的遊戲劵嗎?就是在這個時候使用的。

And there are mainly divided indoor and outdoor areas for the event, as the sun is too hard to stand with; I decided to go to the indoor area first. But you can see the below photo, there are just also so many people in the indoor area. And now I understand why the entrance ticket sold out that fast, as actually the racecourse cannot allow too many people to get in. So, they have to control the ticket quantity. And there is lots of gaming booth, workshop, is Trampoline/ bouncer to play with, Do you remember the gaming ticket along with our entrance ticket? Yes, it was in this kind of booth.

每個攤位消費的遊戲劵都不同，不過多總的都是一張，有些充氣彈床的遊戲要兩張。而工作坊主要都是兩張。我拍了一些攤位的相片，大家可以看一下，感受一下氣氛吧。

Each booth consume different among of gaming ticket, mainly 1, and some need 2. I have took some photo for the booth, you can have a look to see what’s inside the event.

而我想要提醒各位的是關於參加工作坊的注意事項。因為工作坊是採用時段制的，你必須要先用遊戲劵在一個中央櫃枱換領參加證。但問題是這個中央櫃枱排的隊可有夠長的，你看一下下面的相片吧。

And I got to remind you guys for the workshop, it adopted the timeslot arrangement. So, you have to exchange the workshop pass in a central helpdesk before you join the workshop. But what’s the problem is helpdesk’s queue is so long.

You thought that’s all? No, you are wrong, let’s look behind:

我大概算過，要換領參加證大概要1個小時吧，所以我果斷的放棄了。然後，我決定先食一個午飯，因為大家都應該記得吧，就是門票中有10元的餐劵可以使用。我去了二樓的食堂，那裏的食物大概賣60-80元吧，以馬場來說不算太貴吧。而且位子也夠多，就是冷氣大了一點，害我急著吃完了就走了。

I think I have to take around 1 hour to get the workshop pass, so I decided to have a lunch first. Do you remember we have 10 HKD meal coupon along with our entrance ticket? And we can use it now. I go to the canteen on 2nd floor, and the set lunch is around 60-80 HKD, I think it is pretty fair for having lunch in a racecourse. It got many seat, but the air-conditioning is too strong that I cannot stay so long.

最後來到馬場，當然要看一下馬了。走到去室外的區域，就可以看到當中有讓小朋友騎馬的沙圈，6歲以上的小朋友可以事前登記，然後抽纖決定是否有機會試一試。

Finally, we have to see horse when we come to the racecourse. So, I walked outside to the outdoor area. You can see that there is workshop for kids to try to have a ride on the horse. But remember you have to be above 6 years old and register before the event, and the organizer would have a lucky draw to decide who can have a ride.

如果太小的小朋友也不要灰心，你也可以跟雪特蘭小馬合照一下。

And no worry for those kids who are too small, you can take a photo with the Chenland pony.

總括來說，其實這個活動關於馬的成份其實並不太大，畢竟主辦單位是限制了可以騎馬的人數。所以能真正接觸到馬的機會並不多。但好處就是有很多的攤位遊戲可以讓小朋友去玩，而且有個進入馬埸的機會，除非你想要小孩子像我一樣活了半輩子都還有沒進過馬埸。

In conclusion, this event do not really related to horse too much, as actually you don’t have many chance to really have a close contact with the horse. But, the good thing is there are a lot of gaming booth for kids, and your kids could have a chance to get into the racecourse, if not, it will be just like me be someone who never step into the racecourse until now.
