A beautiful beach indeed BUT now unbelievable crowded to the point of being almost unbearable. Visited recently, in traffic for 25+k to get there, lots coming away and overheard conversations etc suggested that it is a victim of its own success, not now worth the hassle, rip-off toilets and parking mayhem. Lord know what it will be like in season. If you do go, either time it right, or expect to share it with countless others as it is no longer one of Crete's best kept secrets.
