When two controversial posts hit trending by paid upvotes today, @smartsteem brought out new introduction of their upvote service that can avoid upvoting SPAM and support quality contents.

How? They are not only building a blacklist for SPAMs, but also a list for quality users so that when you are selling your upvotes, there is a choice to upvote only star users. In the future they will have a grading system so that higher star users can get more upvotes.

I found myself nodding heads when reading their ideas, it sound make sense to promote quality contents and benefit the entire community. However, it remains unknow how their are going to rank users. Either by the reputation or by past upvotes/replies are not enough to judge the quality, considering they are providing multiple upvotes in a single purchase so that the upvotes looks more organic.

The good thing is, at least the bots are starting to solve the problem.

在今天两个极具争议的帖子利用点赞机器人冲上头条之际，@smartsteem蹭了一波热点，推出了更智能的点赞机器人，声称可以避免给垃圾贴点赞，还可以更好的支持优质内容。

思路也很简单：不仅建立一个黑名单，有垃圾帖嫌疑的都不得点赞（这个大部分机器人都有），还搞了一个经过人工筛选的高质量作者名单。如果你把点赞权利出租给他们，可以选择是否给任何人都点赞，还是只给高质量作者点赞。缩小作者名单会减少收益，但保证了自己的投票权给了经过人工筛选的优质作者。将来的计划还包括给每个作者打分分为三个级别，按等级给予相应幅度的点赞（目前尚未实行）。

听起来这个机制可以一定程度上避免给垃圾帖、诈骗贴点赞，更好地提高社区内容质量，但是这个人工筛选、评级也不知道是基于一个什么样的准则，以及由哪些人来负责评级。假如是基于账号级别的话，又失去了新人可以打广告的原始意义，不利于社区发展更多活跃用户。假如基于过往的点赞数、回复数看起来更加合理，但容易造成机器人点赞回复泛滥。比如@smartsteem就推出了分散点赞服务，可以把一个10块钱的点赞拆分了若干个小点赞，使点赞效果看起来更以假乱真，而不是让人一看就是找几个大号点赞上热门的广告贴。

从给钱就点赞，发展到基于优质作者给予点赞也算迈出了一大步，希望更多机器人在赚钱之余也能弄出更多玩法来激励和活跃社区。
