作为一个面条爱好者,偏偏乌冬我爱不起来。大部分乌冬面的汤都很清淡,所以我这个浓汤的死忠粉一直接受无能。直到在洛杉矶遇到了这间小店,完全颠覆了乌冬的做法。吃完后一直在后悔在LA念书的时候为什么没有发现它!这家叫Marugame Monzo的店位于小东京,就在大名鼎鼎的大黑家旁边。你看着排队最多的两家店就是了。周末去的话排队至少1小时以上吧,建议2人去吃,排队比较快一点。
Marugame Monzo最有特色的就是乌冬浓浓的汤了。我们总共点了3碗不同的面:海胆乌冬面,番茄海鲜乌冬面和明太子鱿鱼乌冬,没有踩雷的!面汤都非常浓郁,和手擀的乌冬面简直绝配,吃第一口就惊艳了。 不喜欢太浓郁的汤底的小伙伴建议试一下番茄海鲜乌冬,酸酸甜甜的番茄削弱了海鲜浓汤的腻,口感更丰富,我在吃完了他家的一整碗rice bowl后还是忍不住把这碗面吃完了。顺便说一下他家的的pork belly rice bowl也非常好吃,米饭很香糯,pork belly丝毫不油腻。
Today I want to share with you a special udon restaurant in Los Angeles. I'm a big fan of most of noodles but am never really attracted to Udon. Most likely because I prefer creamy and rich soup when it comes to noodles while udon soup is usually bland and light.
But I discovered this very popular udon restaurant in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles called Marugame Monzo. All of their udon is handmade and more importantly, they offer very rich and creamy soup! We tried their signature sea urchin udon, seafood with tomato cream udon and mentai squid butter udon. All of them are great!! If you live in LA or are going to travel there, make sure try this restaurant out!!
