I see that you are quite conflicted in your feelings. There is a lot of promise that surrounds steemit. "Join for the rewards - Stay for the community"

And then you run into 'bandwidth' issues... :cP

Well Steemit is a place where you begin as a seed. A seed that hopes to become not just a flower but a whole garden. As you can imagine it will take time and dedication - and like any crop you will not harvest on the same days of sowing.

As for what you have to offer - what you think is normal and mundane might not be what I or anybody else considers such. :c) This is something that you'll think about over time.

Alternatives? Facebook? Linkedin? Twitter? reddit? Youtube? All have their uses but Steemit is one platform where your content can garner direct rewards.
