I pray Liu Xia can be released and enjoy the freedom to move overseas.

Everytime I read the news about Liu xia, I resonate with her plight deeply. After all, nobody wants to die, survival is the instinct of our human being. If Liu Xia doesn't suffer too much, how can she say that she is ready to die in the recording?

I caused a huge tragedy this life! It is an endless pain for me to lose my respected American husband and face his death in China lonely and helplessly. Only God knows the reason behind our huge tragedy is!

“给刘霞自由”：24名香港民主人士敦促习近平主席释放诺贝尔和平奖获得者的遗孀。

Twenty-four Hong Kong pro-democracy lawmakers have issued an open letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping calling for Liu Xia’s release. and urging for her freedom to move overseas.

24位香港泛民主派立法者已发表了一封致习近平主席的公开信，呼吁释放刘霞，并且敦促她享有移居海外的自由。

The widow of late Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo said that she is ready to “die at home” following eight years of house arrest, according to a recent recording. Liu Xia has never been charged with a crime.

根据最近的记录，继被软禁在家长达8年后，诺贝尔和平奖得主刘晓波的遗孀说她准备“死在家里”。刘霞从没有被指控过犯罪。

In a faxed letter, the lawmakers expressed their “great concern and anger.”

“Liu Xia has already lost her family,” Civic Party lawmaker Kwok Ka-ki said on Wednesday. He said political factors were behind the imprisonment of Liu Xia’s brother, and her parents have died during her house arrest.

Kwok said Xi often told foreign countries that China is a country governed in accordance with the law.

“I hope President Xi can fulfil his promise and give Liu Xia her freedom,” he said. “I don’t know where Liu Xia wants to go. But as a Chinese citizen, she has her rights under the constitution, including the freedom to apply to go overseas.”
