A Solution to Global Carbon Emmisions

In a previous post I wrote about how super-freighter ships, which ship goods around the world, produce more pollutants than all the automobiles in the world combined & that these ships run on bunker oil, with no emmisions standards. I proposed that people should buy goods manufactured domestically & preferably locally, if they truly believe that carbon emmisions are causing climate change. I have come up with a simple solution, if people still want to consume goods manufactured in unregulated China & other places abroad, without worrying about carbon emmisions & manmade climate change.

The U.S. military has more than 800 bases in more than 70 countries & territories around the world. It also has @ 1,550 nuclear capable ICBMs (intercontinental Ballistic Missiles), 10 Nimitz class nuclear powered aircraft carriers, 18 Ohio class nuclear powered submarines & multiple satellite weaponry.

In my opinion the US military is just as effective without the nuclear powered submarines & aircraft carriers, since they have so many bases abroad from which to launch airstrikes & ICBMs if needed. I believe the aircraft carriers should be converted into superfreighters & chartered out to shipping companies to deliver goods around the world. I also believe the nuclear submarines should be dismantled & used to power factories in unregulated China with US military oversight. We could charge the shipping companies/factories & use that money to help fund the military & take some of the burden off US taxpayers.

Some may think this idea is ridiculous. I suggest these people only buy goods produced domestically & preferably locally, if they believe in manmade climate change caused by carbon emmisions. I personally believe that naturally occuring water vapor, methane, volcanic activity & solar activity have a greater impact on climate change vs. manmade carbon emmisions.
