1. What is this initiative?
In order to introduce the wider community to steemit.com, the users @cmac, @cmp2020, and @remlaps have launched the facebook page, Steemit's Best Classical Music. In pursuit of our goal to raise steemit visibility, we are monitoring the #classical-music and #classical categories (and others) on steemit, and sharing the best posts about classical music on our facebook page.
The point of this is to raise steemit awareness and visibility among people on facebook who share an interest in classical music. Additionally, we share periodic roundup articles here on steemit, to bring additional attention to the best articles and authors that we find.
Standards for sharing are subjective, but here are some rough guidelines:
- Original steemit content required.
- Attractive formatting.
- Well written grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc...
- 500 to 2,000 words in length (give or take)
- English language text (Sorry, that's the only one we know.)
- Supplementary video embeds from other platforms are permitted and encouraged, but must usually be accompanied by original steem block chain content.
- Word length expectations will be relaxed for videos of original performances or compositions by the steemit author.
2. Issue #2 roundup
There were eight posts in the classical category since our inaugural roundup post, and two in classical-music. However, none of the posts in classical qualified for sharing because there was insufficient original content.
Here are the two articles that we've shared recently on facebook. They are still eligible for payout, so you know what to do!
Author | Title | Days until payout |
---|---|---|
@tigerblood | Classical Music with ‘SOUL’; A wonderful gift to humanity from a loving and conscious Universe | 4 |
@cmp2020 | 10 Of Schumann's Compositions in Honor of His Birthday | 6 |
3. How you can help.
This initiative is intended to promote steemit, and to strengthen the classical music ecosystem here, so if you share these goals we would appreciate your support! Here are some ways you can help:
- If you have a facebook account, "Like" us here, and adjust the settings to see all of our posts.
- Reshare the articles from our facebook page
- Resteem our roundup articles
- Come here with your upvotes to support the authors that we find
- Here on steemit, follow: @classical-music, @cmac, @cmp2020, and @remlaps
- Let us know if there are any articles that we overlook
- This is a user driven initiative with no whale support, and we're making it up as we go, so we enthusiastically welcome your ideas
Thank you to @heymattsokol for his suggestion to set up a streemian curation trail. We are planning to follow up on that after HF19, and will announce when our trail becomes available.
Thank you for your continued support and for taking the time to view this post!
@remlaps
Thankyou @classical-music , wholeheartedly appreciated! :))
Congrats on making it into this issue ;-) $$$
You're welcome. Thank you, too, for contributing your high-quality, original, classical-music content to the platform.
Thank you so much )
