On the contrary; I completely understand where it is coming from and I think it is good, to a degree (see disclaimer). BUT, if you limit yourself, as a beginner, you may end up getting taken for all you're worth by those who are opportunistic.
Possible example: You don't invest anything in Ripple - then the banks step in or the gov't or someone or something and they break everything but Ripple.
I know that I don't wish that on anyone and it would be heartbreaking if it happened, so I'm just trying to make the point that we need to keep our minds open.
If you truly believe that you (or some other person with similar ideals) is more just and fair, then the goal should be to become the banks (or an equivalent organization system), because there are going to be people who become that (that's a fact), and I'd rather have new, more idealistic banks, than the same old greedy, power-hungry ones we have now.
I appreciate the feedback though and am always looking to learn more! :)
I completely agree; that is definitely a big danger that comes with a group of people getting a bunch of leverage through large 'bank accounts'. We can just hope to get enough of a piece so that we can all rise up. :) My goal is definitely to increase my steem power so that I can help people by upvoting!
Yeah, if fraud was proven, that could definitely be a real possibility. crazy stuff.
