Before the worship service proper, we learnt that the actual new year according to the Hebrew calendar is 1 of April and Christians must follow that.
We were also advised to still adhere to the COVID_19 protocol. By using hand sanitiser, face mask, washing of hand with clean water
The workshop service today has boosted my faith in terms of remaining in the house of God.
We learnt that wherever we are, we can serve the Lord but we need each other because you cannot do the law of God alone.
If you live the body of Christ , you loose spiritual strength but if you remain in the body of Christ, you have people who pray for you, preach to you and teach you.
The brotherhood is meant for us to be together (Eph 5 vs 23)
My understanding is refreshed that the primary doctrine to the brotherhood is love.
1 Peter 4 vs 11 teaches we should love one another same way Christ loves us.
We are called by God into the fellowship of his son 1 Tim 3:5; 1 cor 1:9.
Eph 4 vs 1 described the fellowship of our Lord Jesus Christ as one Bod but Christ is the head of the church. Our live will manifest if we are in are in the Lord and if you are in the house of the Lord. There are different types of love in the word but the true love is the on taught by our Lord Jesus Christ through the church
1 these. 4:9 makes us understand that not all love are the same, the love of God is the only love for you to be known as his disciples (John 13:34)
We learnt that you will know the truth of the love of Christ if you are in the church.God calls us into into the church so we can be part of the body of Christ.
We learnt that if you separate from the church of God then you are separated from Christ and if you are separated from Christ, the you are separated from the church. The church will make manifest the love of Christ so you cannot be separated. I used to think I can still with God even if I don't go to church. But I now understand that when i separate from the church, I am rejecting the calling of Christ. Deut 12 vs 25, John 17 vs 26. The reality of brotherly love is seen in the church.
We in the church are the only one that can help each other.
