One thing that many avid readers have in common is they always have to be reading in a specific place in order to be productive. Some people, for example, are just more productive reading at their local Starbucks. Some aren’t.
Some may concentrate better when they’re reading at the library, on the beach, or at the park.
I, for example, can’t get any reading done if people are around me. I just can’t focus in public places. In order for me to be an efficient reader, I have to be somewhere quiet, where I can’t be bothered or easily distracted.
But what about you? Find what place you’re most productive in, and then always put yourself in that place when it’s time to read.
|Over time, this will even start to train your brain to associate that location with reading so that whenever you go to that spot with a book, it'll feel natural and easy for you to just sit down and read|.
