Armenian Catedral (Lviv, Ukraine)

The Armenian church was built 1363-1370 years by master Doring. She was a community and religious center of the Armenian colony in Lviv. Later on around the church formed one of the most interesting ensembles, which included a bell tower, palace of the archbishop, Armenian bank, Monastery of Benedictine, memorial column with the figure of St. Christopher and wooden altar with composition "Golgotha".

In the Soviet era, the Armenian Council was closed.The Soviet authorities closed the structure of the Armenian Catholic Church. November 26, 1945 was arrested by the Administrator of the Archdiocese, Fr. Dionysius Caitanovich and three other priests. Almost all Armenians went to Poland. In January 2000, the church was returned to the Armenian community. On January 6, 2001, the first divine service was performed, and on May 28, 2003 the cathedral consecrated the Catholicos of all Armenians Garekhin II
