Berner Cathedral

Dear Steemians, today I have some nice impressions from Bern. With the highest church tower in Switzerland, the Berner Münster is the largest and most important late medieval church in Switzerland.

Mit dem höchsten Kirchturm der Schweiz ist das Berner Münster die grösste und wichtigste spätmittelalterliche Kirche der Schweiz.

A well-known feature of the cathedral is its main portal. Erhart Küng designed the sandstone architectural work with a total of 294 figures depicting the Last Judgement.

Bekanntes Merkmal des Münsters ist das Hauptportal. Erhart Küng gestaltete das Architekturwerk aus Sandstein mit insgesamt 294 Figuren das Jüngste Gericht dargestellt ist.
