RE: Celebrate Jesus Christ not Saturnalia! Merry Christmas 2016 To Everyone on Steemit!

in #christmas8 years ago (edited)
  1. Saturnalia was invented long before "Christmas" existed.

  2. Yes, in order for the Christians to accept the new "Holy Roman Empire", the Emperor Constantine mixed pagan rituals with Christian beliefs.

  3. I am a Christian so I don't see any value in Pagan traditions. However if other people want to practice it, that is for them to decide.

  4. Research, years of it.

  5. No, I mention in the video how important "intention" is. However if you do not know there are bad intentions, then you may participate in negative rituals unaware. I can provide countless examples for this.

The way I see it, if my years of research could count as much as yours, is government as we see it today would have an easier time existing because of Christianity. That is the reason why it's easier for me to believe that Pagans traditions were turned into Christian ones as a way to help Pagans (the majority) assimilate this new system.

Why would Christians have to accept anything?

Who doesn't know there are bad intentions? Is it pure evil that you want people to believe in?

Everyone's research speaks for itself.

The Pagan control religions were created to keep people indoctrinated into the system. The problem the governments like the Roman Empire ran into was the new actual Christian religion (not the Vatican Catholic Control religion of today) was freeing people from the indoctrination. No longer did people need to go to Government or their controlled religious pagan temples for anything. They could seek God on their own and they were given Eternal Life. Government offers nothing for someone who truly believes like me, everything I need comes directly to me from Jesus Christ. Everything else is temporal and is a bonus. Nothing frees you like the truth of Jesus Christ. Though it is on you to accept it or not, the choice is yours.

Christian submission to civil government: Romans 13:1

Lolz, clearly you mistranslated the passage or are simply "quote" mining. The "authorities" referenced are not "Worldly Authorities" as can be deciphered by studying the rest of the Bible.

It can't be a mistranslation because I didn't quote the verse.
I'm not quote mining, it fits the larger pattern of Roman citizenship - Paul is speaking to the people of Rome.
