Weihnachtspyramiden / Christmas Pyramids

Herstellung:

Pyramiden werden üblicherweise aus Holz gefertigt. Sie können ein bis 8-stöckig sein. In der Mitte der Grundplatte befindet sich in einem Glas-oder Keramiklager eine drehbar gelagerte Welle, an der ein oder mehrere Teller befestigt sind. Darauf werden geschnitzte oder gedrechselte Figuren befestigt. Häufig werden Pyramiden auch als Laubsägearbeiten gefertigt. Betrieben werden sie entweder mit Motor oder mit Kerzen.

Making of Pyramids:

Pyramids are usually made of wood. They can be up to 8-storey. Geschichte:

Der Begriff Pyramide wurde zuerst in der Schneeberger Stadt und Bergchronik gebraucht. Um 1830 erlebte die Pyramide einen Aufschwung durch die Entdeckung des Paraffins, das jetzt als Kerzen eingesetzt werden konnte und die teureren Talgkerzen ablöste.

Histroy:

The term pyramid was first used in the Schneeberger town and mountain timeline. Around 1830, the pyramid experienced a revival through the discovery of paraffin, which could now be used as candles and replaced the more expensive sebum plugs.

Motive:

Es entstanden eine Vielzahl von Motiven von der klassichen Ausführung mit kunstvoll geschnitzen Figuren, zum Teil bemalt bis modern mit runden abstrakten Figuren, z.B. orientalische Motive, Waldszenen, auch die Geburt Christi und Bergparaden sind zu sehen.

Motive:
