Aid Hub Ghana - Who Are We?
'Aid Hub Ghana' is a Non-Governmental Organization established by a team of young and compassionate (BSc.) graduates of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. This organization was founded this year by Mr. Vincent Abe-inge together with Miss Esumaba Asaam and Mr. Justice Wilson Anomah. As of now, the total membership number is thirteen. I'm part of the executive board; I serve as the Editor-in-chief and publicity head.
Our Objective & Vision
The objective of 'Aid Hub Ghana' is to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the Ghanaian society through projects aimed at bridging the education, technology, health and economic livelihood gaps in society (to the extent of our capacity).
Our vision is to see as many people in the African community empowered and transformed through our public education programmes, social activism and charity projects. We envision that our quota will contribute greatly in the quest for the liberation of the average African (in particular) and humanity (in general) from mental slavery and abject poverty. We aspire to aid our beneficiaries to maximise their potentials to also cause tremendous positive change for societal progress.
Our Target Beneficiaries
Our target groups are underprivileged people: inhabitants of rural communities (students, farmers and small-scale enterprise owners), orphans, people with dody defects/shortcomings [we'd rather not want to tag them as "people with disability" for we see great potentials (abilities) in such ones], prisoners and street children.
So far, we've executed a couple of projects I'll expound on, in the subsequent post: "Aid Hub Ghana - 2017 Projects in Retrospect". Now let's tackle the real deal...
Christmas Orphanage Aid '17 - The Maiden Christmas Charity Project That Turned Out Amazing!
At the begining of December, the Aid Hub Ghana team came togther in a meeting and planned to execute a Christmas charity project at an orphanage. The team later selected Kumasi Children's Home for the donation exercise. Since the organization was mainly consisting of people who were fresh university graduates and working as national service personnels, our own financial contributions and the coffex of the organisation wasn't that huge to meet the budget for the planned project. We took to our social media pages to appeal for financial support and the outcome (monetary donations received) was quite impressive, for a start.
Last Friday, 22nd December, 2017, the donatiotion of items (foods and beverages, toiletories, educational materials, clothings, among other things) was succesfully made to the Kumasi Children's Home. The children and management of the orphange were very pleased with our kind and thoughtful gestures and they couldn't but express it freely with their broad, infectious smiles of merriment.
The "Christmas Orphanage Aid" project has come to stay, and we plan to prepare adequately for it in the coming year so that it turns out bigger, better and greater!!!
Appreciation Message To Fellow Aid Hub Ghana Executive Members and Team Members
We saw the need, we supported and it has come to pass. We're glad our efforts have been appreciated. We had busy schedules but we made time for this charitable exercise. We are excited about this. It is an indication we all see the need, the purpose and goodness of this organization. We had little time to plan or decide our actions. However, we have beaten the challenges. And I must say we need to keep it up and do more. We have the capacity to accomplish greater projects in the coming years
Aid Hub Ghana expresses sincere gratitude to everyone who donated (in cash and or kind) towards making the maiden "Christmas Orphanage Aid" project a success. Please like our Facebook page: Aid Hub Ghana
