Hello my dear Hivean friends! I've had my peakd account open many times these past weeks, and then before I knew it, it was Christmas.
I've been doing so many things all (almost) at the same time, that I sometimes wonder what day it is. But it's for a good cause (my family) and there will be an end to it all, eventually.
So let's see what I've been up to, shall we?

Work, as Usual

I started a part-time job, which doesn't pay very well. It pays quite badly to be honest, but I took it on because it's a regular thing and it will pay the rent, which is really what I need right now: some stable income. I was taken on for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, but training takes quite a while. I'm still training now and it's been 6 weeks already! During this time, they pay even less, which kinda sucks. I'm also still working on the AI job, and right now, there's plenty of work there, so I've been pretty much working 8-12 hour days, 7 days a week. Not much time to breathe! Unfortunately, I haven't been doing the full 6 hours during this training...Most I've done was 4. It's mainly because there's not always a lot to do, and I'm being trained on 2 projects. On one of those, I have to wait for a colleague, and often times she'll tell me that there isn't much to do, so to come back in an hour. Then when I do, there's something else. The time in between: I don't get paid for, and I can't really do anything else, in case they message me. So yesterday, when I saw they put me on for ALL the holidays, I had to have a chat with my manager to adjust that. They aren't paying more during those days, so...

I was supposed to start on a contract job for a translation project on the 1st of November, but the lady has been so busy, so it's been put off till January. Once I'm on that, I might have to rethink the whole 6 hour a day, which is never 6 hour a day, thing...

The Website

I'm getting ready now to have the booking part added to it. So within the next few weeks, people will be able to book travel through my website!
I am quite excited about it, but there's one issue. I need it to be blown all over the social media accounts, but I barely have time to scratch my back, let alone create 5 or more social media posts each day. So I asked my two teens to help me with it (for pay) and they are going to, but right now one is in Merida with her friend, and the other is in town staying with his. Which means I will have to deal with the social media part on my own for now.
It'll happen, just a bit slower than expected. But getting there. As for social media...stupid Instagram has flagged the page, and wanted proof that I'm a real person. It's been 5 weeks, and so far no news. They suck. I wish more people would flock here, so I wouldn't have to deal with that anymore...Anyway, it's good news, I'm on the right track and everything will work out great. I feel it in my bones.

I just wanted to do a quick update on my comings and goings. But most of all, I wanted to wish everyone here on Hive a very Merry Christmas. I hope this day is full of joy and fun, and great food for all of you. For us, it's tacos and the best damn burger in the city, from just around the corner. We don't ask for much haha.
