1 Samuel 10:5-7 - "After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee."

The hill of God is also known as Bethel. It is a very strategic place to be when you are in the way of recovering your possessions. God dedicates certain places for himself, and honours such places, and blesses people when they come to such places.

When we enter into a convenant with God, that place of convenant is typified as a hill of God, and God is there to bless. It is important to stay and not leave or forsake that place of convenant. If God has planted us somewhere, it is for a purpose and we need to stay there, no matter the challenges we face in that place. God does not like convenant breakers, he has no respect for them.

Our destiny is in the house, in the hill of God, in the place of convenant, we must stay in the house and not be carried away by attractions and distractions outside. When we stay in the house in line with God's will, we will not only find bread, we will also be equipped with weapons of warfare. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the LORD delivers him from them all.

Three things happen to you in the hill of God, when you stay put.

1. The spirit of God comes upon you
2. You prophesy
3. You become another man
