Philippians 2:
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
God exalted Jesus and gave him a name above all names. In exaltation Jesus is worthy to receive praise and honor.
We confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God who is the Father alone.
This is the foundation of truth; Jesus is the perfect man who is born of God and sent to be our Savior. God is not a man and God is not three gods. God is the Father, our Creator who is over all. Without this understanding, you cannot truly grasp the Scriptures.
We are told to love God with our whole mind, that is our whole understanding! How can we do that with a mystery god? Do you understand the trinity? Of course not, it is a tradition of men. The first and greatest commandment is this: Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord and this foundational truth has been under attack since the beginning.
The following scripture in this regard.
The Father is declared to be God.
John 6:27 "Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” (NKJV)
The Son is declared to be God.
Hebrews 1:8 "But to the Son He says:
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom."
The Holy Spirit is declared to be God."
Acts5:3-4 "But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
Jesus declared that He and the Father is one:
John 17:11 "11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are."
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made."
