Precious Lord,
Every time I reminisce about how You’ve been at work in my life, I’m just as amazed as ever – maybe even more so. As time passes You help me to see things more clearly. I’ve come to realize that it’s good that I have had to endure suffering, and that I will continue to do so at times. These times draw me closer to You, and help me to appreciate Your goodness all the more.
Lord, Your wisdom is perfect. You know exactly what needs to happen in my life in order for me to be moulded into the person that You want me to be – even if I myself may recoil and shudder at the thought of pain and hardship.
I have not had a heartache that You haven’t met me in, and healed me through. No enemy has come against me and prospered while I’ve been following You and doing Your will. No, indeed You have turned what the enemy has meant for evil into so much good, and I praise You and thank You for it!
I trust You with everything, Jesus. Every single part of my life. No matter what circumstances I may face, I have Your assurance that You will be with me always. You are always good, and You never, ever fail. Thank You, Lord. You are worthy of all my praise, and I love You with all my heart.
Amen.
Prayers from the heart is a series of short prayers written with the intent of helping you in your prayer time. There is no ‘magic formula’ to prayer, and no set of written words that will make whatever you want happen. Simply pray from your heart, be honest with your Heavenly Father and remember that He loves you. If this prayer or any other prayers from this series make a good starting point for you, please feel free to use them!
Here are a few helpful scriptures about prayer, as well:
And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey Him
and do the things that please Him.
1 John 3:22
You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.
Matthew 21:22
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will,
He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask,
we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
1 John 5:14-15
Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.
And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—
you want only what will give you pleasure.
James 4:2b-3
Thank you so much for this prayer, I have decided to follow you, and it is wonderful that someone is taking the time to post prayers that are easy to understand and powerful to help us all strengthen our prayer life; I haven't written down many prayers, but you have inspired me to start doing so.
Thank you so much for reading it and for leaving this sweet comment. I've followed you back. :) It's my prayer that these do really help, and I use what I've written myself to help in my prayer time, as well. Prayer is such an important thing. I would definitely encourage you to write some more prayers, as writing it out can really help you in many ways, even in ways you might not expect.
The Lord led me to start prayer journalling several years ago. One of the big blessings of keeping these books is looking back and seeing how you've grown spiritually and how many of those prayers the Lord has answered. He gives us so many reasons to praise Him. God bless!
Thank you I am following you too! God Bless you!
Keep it up, your comments and words encourage me!
Amen!

Praise God! Our pain gives birth to the blessings ahead. Ya'll, we live in a fallen world. But the reward is eternal life in continuous worship where there are no ills. God is merciful. Everlasting. King of Kings.
AMEN!
"Our God is an awesome God and He reigns from heaven and earth..." Amen!
