You can't receive just a part of God. In receiving the fullness of God in to your life. The person of God, who resides within you- dwells in you, abides in you fills you- is the Holy Spirit... He has given us the fullness of His own nature that we truly might be created anew spiritually in His likeness..
John 1:16-18
- Of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
The Holy Spirit seals us for the day of redemption, leads us into truth, convicts us of sin, and leads us where God wants us to go.
But to fully experience the Holy Spirit's work we need to feed ourselves spiritually by engaging in spiritual disciplines. We should read the Bible regularly, go to church regularly, pray regularly, and grow in obedience regularly. I listen Bible based Christian music. It feeds me. I listen to Bible teaching by Dr. J. Vernon McGee from ttb.org. It also feeds me spiritually.
