Imagine what He has prepared for us out of grace, love and mercy. He "endured" the cross for the "JOY set before Him". What is that joy? Eternally having you, me and all believers eternally with Him in His presence. Christ's view of that coming joy is hard to comprehend. For that JOY he submitted himself to the Father's will and faced death head on only after the Father cut himself of from Jesus to fully lay the punishment for our sins on His shoulders. I am excited to one day find out what Jesus understands as joy. Praise Christ for taking his life back and giving live to all believers.
