Don't feel alone in that. I am on my second time reading John within the last six months, and every time I read it I find new things I didn't see before.
Just ask God to help you understand it. Ask him to help you see what is most important for your life, and to help you believe what is true. I have been and will be asking him the same for you, OK? ;)
