I read this article recently and it gave me pause for thought: https://rcg.org/pillar/1001pp-wiscw.html
Waging war has been continual throughout the history of God’s Church. Paul could clearly see that from his day forward, all Christians would engage in struggles, conflicts and real battles against evil forces.
I suggest you read it to, but I will focus on the armor aspect today.
The Full Armor of God
In Ephesians Ch 6, v 11 and 13 to 17 we read
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
and
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
This is wonderfully illustrated in this image:
What is the "full armor of God"? It is the tools which God has given to us through His Word, the Bible.
This battle is very real, even though we are not talking about physical attacks, these things inform all kinds of attacks, including physical. The Spirit moves through us, and if we are not protected by inviting Him into our hearts. If not we are open to the devil moving our hands and guiding our ways towards evil.
But I'm not a Christian
Then it is time to allow Jesus into your heart. Only you can do this, no one can do it for you.
Start by saying a simple prayer, asking Jesus to forgive you your sins, that you accept the salvation only He can offer, and that you want to join Him and the saints in eternal life.
Then you need to read the Bible! It's the only way to hear the wonderful and timeless message that has brought countless men and women like you to a personal relationship with the Lord.
I recommend you get a physical copy. If you don't know where to get one have a look here: https://www.thoughtco.com/how-to-obtain-a-free-bible-701263
Amen!
