Psalm 150
1 Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Why do you think the Lord instruct us to praise Him? Because He needs it?
No, because we need it. When we praise Him, the power of God starts flowing and His deliverance comes. Look at Paul and Silas in the prison, they were praying and praising God and they got mightily delivered. When Jehosaphat was in danger to be conquered, He went to war and he puted the levites first and when they started to praise God, He started to deliver them. So, how about you praise Him in your situation, even if it's good or bad?
But the greatest reason to praise Him is because He gave His Son to die for us, so that us can be saved, and whoever believes in Jesus and make Him, his personal Lord, he will have his sins removed and become a child of God.
Praise doesn't automatically lead to deliverance. It's not a magic formula to get what you want.
Depends on what is trying God to teach you.
