Psalm 119 vs 130
"The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple."
God's word is a light to the darkness of our life. Certain times in life we find ourselves in a confused state and at such times we don't know the next step to take, it might be that you are about taking a major decision in your life; maybe a decision of who to marry, where to relocate to with your family, and so on. Then you don't know how to go about these crucial decision making process. God is saying to you dear reader that the entrance of His word gives light, it can be rephrased to say the right application of God's words dispels ignorance.
Whenever we are about taking major decision in life, it is expedient that we first of all seek God's approval concerning what we are about to do. These approval can gotten in God's words - The Bible. One major loophole most Christians have is there lack of acknowledging God in whatever they do; they feel God is not concerned about the school their kid go to, the kind of place the go, the event they attend, the spouses they keep and who they marry. When you acknowledge God here is what happens.
" In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths," Proverbs 3:6
The bible says that God will certainly direct the paths of those who acknowledge Him in all that they do. Mark the word all; it means God wants you to acknowledge Him in virtually everything you do in order to stay mistake-free. The world need to know one fact; without the keen direction of the Holy Spirit, we cannot accomplish much in life. So do you want your confusion taking away, and direction given to you?, then start today to apply God's word in whatever challenge you might be passing through.
Now that verse goes further to offer understanding to those who are simple. Now this can also be rephrased to say it gives insight to those who are in need of it; God's words broadens your horizon about all concept and topic of life, thereby making you a resource person that people can look up to. Daniel was found ten times better in Babylon because of His acquaintance with the word of God. It enlightened him, it educated him and made him a man of understanding and excellence. So also was Joseph in Egypt; Joseph excelled in a foreign land because he learnt to apply God's word to every situation. Can you seek wisdom, knowledge and insight in God's words today by apply it in your day to day activity?
Start now to read God's words and never skip a day without reading God's word; by doing so you will soon find out that indeed the application of God's word dispels ignorance and gives insight to those that need insight.
