Jesus is God, so is the Holy Ghost.
We have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost - the Trinity.
John 1:1 is merely one verse that supports this. Genesis 1:26 is another - there are many more.
Jesus is mentioned in every book of the bible. He is in every OT book.
This is said no where in the Bible. Jesus continually confirmed that he was the Son and never God. There is a clear distinction throughout the Bible. The Trinity is a man made tradition. John 1:1 does not support a Trinity because John didn't believe in a trinity. John is speaking of the Word, God's Word.
Genesis 1:26 also does not even hint at a Trinity. God is speaking to the Holy Angels who were present at the Creation and are also made in his image.
To make God three is blasphemy. The pagan gods are three. My God is one.
We beleive in one God too. Father Son and the Holy spirit they are one.
In Rev the lamb is being worshiped, you might say thats not the highest form of worship. However there every creation has bowed down b4 him to worship.God does not share his glory with anyone and yet here Jesus is worshiped.
I am not looking for an argument. Simple truth brother
Question: What was the Son's name BEFORE He manifested in the flesh?
Consider this:
Revelation 5:
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
All of creation praised the him that sitteth upon the throne(God) and the Lamb(Christ). There is a clear distinction between the two and no mention of a third person. Note in verse 12 the Lamb was worthy to RECIEVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. If he were God, would not have to receive wisdom, or strength, or power. Also note in verse 14 the elders fell down and worshipped God alone.
You said that God doesn't share his glory with anyone but that is not Scriptural:
John 17:
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
God had given glory to Jesus and Jesus shares that glory with us.
This is the simple truth..no mystery, no confusion. Take a moment to think about it all.
Will make another post on this subject:)
Are you a Oneness Pentecostal?
No. I am a Bible believing Christian. I trust the Bible and hold that God is the Father, Jesus is His Son, the Christ, and the Holy Spirit is the Father's power and presence(to put it simply).
The Son, in the flesh, was NOT to be worshiped as God, yet He was God. If that makes any sense. By worshiping the image of Jesus, we are committing the sin of putting someone before Yah, who, when He came in human form, was ALSO the messiah. Albeit, MAN is NEVER to be worshiped. Nobody should worship the man-body that YHWH at one point manifested in. Instead, man should worship YHWH. Hope that made sense.
