Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. (Psalm 23:6)

There've been moments when I've been tempted to wallow in self-pity when things aren't going my way. Sometimes I've even allowed myself to throw a little pity-party for a short time. But this isn't the Lord's will for us. His will is that we rejoice in Him always, and that His joy will be our strength. He wants us to look at Him, and magnify Him instead of magnifying our problems, which are so tiny compared to the great big God we serve.

Sometimes it can feel like nothing is going right, but if we would stop and reflect we would realize these words from Psalm 23 are true. His goodness and mercy does follow us, all the days of our lives...often in ways we don't even notice.
