The difference between angels and the Holy Spirit
The only thing angels and the Holy Spirit have in common is that they are both spiritual beings. Angels work for God. They are His messengers to us. Messenger is the literal translation of the word angel. The angels are impressive to behold and frequently strike terror in those who see them. But they are not to be worshipped.
The Holy Spirit is God. He is the third part of the Trinity and is actively involved in the day to day lives of Christians. He lives with us and provides us wisdom, conviction, and spurs us on in our spiritual growth. His presence in our daily lives is also a sign and seal of our salvation. God’s direct presence in our live’s shows that we have indeed been reconciled with God. Not only have we been reconciled with God the Holy Spirit is there to empower us. He provides each believer with spiritual gifts that are used to help the church and let the world know that God loves them.
An angel may bring an important message but it is the Holy Spirit who truly makes the lives of Christians completely different than anyone else.
