Arsenal offer Riyad Mahrez four-year deal: Leicester ace eyeing Gunners over Barcelona

RIYAD MAHREZ is reportedly considering a move to Arsenal after becoming “tired of waiting” for Barcelona to make a decision on him.

The Leicester forward looks set to leave Leicester this summer after going public with his request to start a new challenge elsewhere.

The Algerian agreed a new four-year contract at Leicester last summer but he has ambitions to prove himself at a higher level.

Mahrez has not been short of interest from a host of European clubs with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and even Barcelona tracking him.

Reports earlier this month suggested he preferred a move to Arsenal over Chelsea and Liverpool due to his admiration of Arsene Wenger - although his first choice remains Barca.

However, Mahrez is keen to play Champions League football and knows that is not on offer at the Emirates next term.

But Spanish publication Sport claim he is prepared to make that sacrifice after becoming frustrated with Barca.

The Catalan giants are yet to make an offer for the Algerian as they continue to pursue Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.

The report suggests Mahrez won’t move to the Nou Camp if Barca are successful in signing Verratti.
