Okay wait though, how creative can I get with this? Does it have to stay exactly F#m-E-D-E or just iv-V-IV-V in any key? Do I need to keep those inversions? Can I add 7ths or substitions (i.e. would Dmaj7 - C#m7- Bm7 - E7 still count?) - and lastly, does it have to be that progression the whole way through?
Oh and also does it have to be one chord per bar? Sorry for the spam of questions, I just wanna make sure I don't go crazy with it and end up disqualifying myself :|
Do it in F#m-E-D-E but you could change few notes or ad 7ths. The point is that the chord stays recognizable so there will be no cheating ^^
Ans yes you can add something that is not with the chord but chord must be there. So intro could be with the chord and after that something without ;)
Looking forward to your production ;)
