Hey guys! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hope you had a wonderful time with your family for chinese new year! I am so happy becuase it is the year of the cow/ox! If you guys did not know I am Chinese and English! So I would like to tell you what I know about Chinese new year! First I would like to tell you the legand/story of why we celebrate Chinese New Year!

Every year a bad under water dragon visits its closest town and eats up PEOPLE!!! The people who survive are the ones who have to move out of their homes for a week, before escaping most don't survive...

One year later an old granny is preparing to escape her home before the water monster/dragon comes. An old man begs for some water , but no one gave him any thing except the granny, she welcomes him in and tells him that every ones worst fear is coming to day at night and they have to escape.

The grandpa asks her for more, Detail and information about the bad guy. What color does he look like? He asks, what have you guys done to help the problem? The old grandma says they had not done any thing but run away and the monster was blue and lived underwater.

The man new what to do right away. He sayed he could protect her house and would need lots red paper and Loud pots.

When the dragon came he light candels on fire and banged huge pots that where super loud and set red every were and when the dragon/ monster came..HIS EYES STARTED TEARING!! It had worked!

The dragon dived in to the water never to be seen again, and that's when people made the day chinese new year, and we wear red for good luck and gold to have good long life and good future.

Next I want to tell you another story about Chinese new year!

One day there was a race for who would be the first animal of the year!

The Rat ๐Ÿ€, Ox ๐Ÿ„, Tiger ๐Ÿ…, Rabbit ๐Ÿ‡, Dragon ๐Ÿ‰, Snake ๐Ÿ, Horse ๐ŸŽ, Goat ๐ŸMonkey ๐Ÿต, Roster ๐Ÿ“, Dog ๐Ÿ•, and Pig ๐Ÿ– all raced against each other (and the order I listed them was the order they finished the race!).

Any way I hope you enjoyed the tradition "Chinese New Year! I will put some pics of my cow at the end.

Byeeeeeeee!!!!!

Wow! What an educational post and a very creative drawing. In Cambodia, during Chinese New Year, many Khmer-Chinese business owners hire a dragon team with drummers to stop by their business and bless it with a dragon run. It's also celebrated a bit here in Suriname.

Thank you! Wow! A dragon run sounds fun! In china town they do dragon dance and lion dance! And the dragon is controled by people in side. They make it so that the dragon follows this ball on a stick which looks like a lollie pop. The lollie pop thing looks like its hitmatizing the dragon because it is in a optical illusion.

That is a funny cow. You are a cartoonist. I love one cartoonist named Scott Adams of the Dilbert cartoons. I didn't know you were part Chinese. I was living in Vietnam and learned about the Chinese New Year holiday. I love it. I like cows. They're curious and big like elephants. Maybe not that big. But they're kind of like a turtle horse in that they are not as fast as a horse.

Sweet Heart! Your art is the absolute best! I'm a life long fan of your creations and will always be!

The Chinese Cow you drew is so creative and fun! Who knew a cow could expand like that!!! Where in the wide world of cows did you come up with such an awesome idea anyways?!

It's GREAT and I LOVE it! ๐Ÿ˜

Keep on drawing and posting to the Hive Blockchain! I want to see more!!! ๐Ÿ˜
